This is a special engagement session. I’ve known Sana for over 10 years, being that she is one of the very best friends of my best friend. Understandably I’ve been seeing her on and off for many years and every time I spend some time with her, I find myself wanting to know her better and just want to hang out and have a good time. She is such a sunny, down to earth girl, and can I just say – she is simply gorgeous. When I heard that Sana had a special man in her life and that they had become engaged, I secretly hoped that maybe, just maybe she might connect with my work. She did reach out to me with the sweetest note mentioned and would love to discuss her wedding. I was so disappointed when I realized I was booked for a different event that day. However as fate would have it, plans changed and it all worked out so that I would be able to be there for Sana and Atif’s wedding. We both felt that it was just meant to be, and there is truly no better feeling.

Sana has worked in DC for many years now and it is a special place for her and Atif so it was a natural choice for their engagement photos, especially during the cherry blossom festival. I loved seeing them together, and being able to capture the smiles they bring to each others faces. Atif is truly a special man meant for her. We had an absolutely perfect day with sun streaming through the the lush flowers, and I loved that they wore a few different outfits that showcased their personalities and cultural influences. It was such a fun evening. Sana and Atif – congratulations and I can’t wait to see you be married!
