Seattle Engagement Photos
First, a bit of history: over 10 years ago, I did a summer internship in Connecticut/NYC while in college. That summer was a whirlwind of activities, summer fun and learning the ropes of NYC living and working. It remains one of the most significant periods of my life because of a few things that were set in motion, but most notably because of the relationships that started then. One of them was my husband, and the other was Manish. Manish and I first met and we joke that we both didn’t have the best first impression of one another (insert cultural stereotypes here), but soon enough we were jamming to top 40 hits on our commutes together, and discussing all things important and significant to young 20-somethings with bright eyes in the big city. Over the years we’ve all grown to be close friends and for that I am grateful.
A few years ago my husband moved out to Seattle for a few years to work with Manish. During that time, Manish met Patty, and they first bonded over a shared love of sports. They are diehard fans of all the major Seattle sports teams, but especially the Mariners. (For reference for people like me, thats the cricket baseball team). Their relationship grew over many wishful late inning rallies at Sah-fay-co (safeco field) cheering on their home team. They fit together like navy blue and northwest green.
Seattle remains one of my favorite places in the world, so when Manish and Patty asked me to document their engagement photos to show off their beloved city on a late summer day, I could not have been more honored or excited. We started off with a little catch and batting practice, followed by a ferry ride around Elliott Bay, a quick stop into Pike Place market, then off to coffee and crossword puzzles, and finished with a Mariners game on a gorgeous night. It was a great day. Enjoy the images!
Beautiful pictures! A wonderful representation of your lives! The ONLY thing missing is all your travels! Really gorgeous, patty and manish!
