Rizwan + Sana | Portraits
A few years ago, when I was really getting into taking portraits, I wrote this post. About a boy and a tux. A wedding tux. That boy is my good friend Rizwan, and I had the honor to be there to help pick out his wedding tux. This was even more meaningful as I was not able to make to the wedding itself. Now…there is a girl, Sana. Sana the elegant, graceful and ever caring girl who is now Rizwan’s lovely wife. I recently had the chance to meet R + S on a trip to Turkey with old friends. It was a wonderful trip and I was was hoping I would get a chance to not only get to know Sana, but to take photos of her and Rizwan together. I did get a chance – even though it was only for about 25 minutes, in Alacati, Turkey. It was a wonderful little beach town on the Aegean Sea and it made for a great little backdrop for photos. The light faded fast but we used what we could find (including headlights of a parked car!) to create some interesting photos that are a bit different from my normal, but I love them. The deep blue sky, the moonlight, Sana’s soulful and sparkly eyes, and Rizwans illuminating smile all made for some memorable photographs.
Thanks to Sante Otel for letting us take photos in their courtyard.
