Payel + Sanjoy | Portraits
Payel is like the cutest baby sister I never had, one of my closest friends for a little over a decade. Sanjoy is the handsome guy who swept Payel her off her feet, and I love them together. Payel is in medical school here at NYU and Sanjoy lives in Chicago, so they don’t get to see each other much…but when they do, just look at the love in their eyes. We picked a gorgeous afternoon to stroll around Soho, laugh, share a nice meal, have a good time, and convince tourists they were famous people and I was taking their photos. Hope you enjoy some of my favorites, and be sure to check out the slideshow.
Of course these pictures would be amazing. These are two beautiful souls who are in love, scampering around New York City and then a photographer behind them, who so effortlessly brings their fairytale alive through her creativity. Tara – you don’t just take pictures, but you capture what is felt deep in the hearts of those in front of you.
These pictures truly make me smile and still believe that being hopelessly romantic and giddy in love is not so cheesy after all. It is exactly what we all hope to have some day….
Adorable.
These are amazing! I love pictures done in the city. What a gorgeous couple and fabulous photogragphy!
everytime i look at these pics, tara, i get a really warm, fuzzy feeling inside….and i want to be photographed ‘just like this’

Such beautiful Tara! I love how you incorporated so much of the city into your photos. You’re work is jumping leaps and bounds! There’s so much life and love in your images.
VERY nice work! Love ’em!
Wow…saw the ones you posted at DWF and these look even better here. I really, really love the one of them against the blue wood background…might crop just a hair differently, but love the depth of color.
I am not an expert, but these impress me!
Great shots! I love the one outside the subway station, and the cobblestone streets.
stumbled across your website. love these pictures. you are so talented!
I agree with the insightful comments of the girl below. I really like these photos. You really have a knack for capturing “moments.” I can think of no better place than NYC as your backdrop. I would love to have some pictures like these one day for myself! They’re creative and have a very “vintage” look and feel to them. Very clean, very classic. Well done…keep up the fantastic work! =) ~ Rish
