Neha + Chaitan | Portraits
Neha is an old time friend of mine from high school. She was an exchange student at my high school – hailing from South Africa for a year’s study in the USofA, and Indiana of all places. She swept through our high school making friends in every corner and winning over everyone with her warmth and grace, and those oh-so exotic eyes. I remember helping her get ready for prom with my best friend, and going over our Astronomy homework together, eating runny ice cream cake in my parent’s kitchen, and hanging out all night long watching Hindi movies and practicing random dance moves. She was such a life force of happiness and friendship and I’m happy to know she is still the same Neha, only more beautiful and radiating now that she has the love of Chaitan, her husband. Its been at least a decade since I’ve seen her but she came back to the US with Chaitan on a month long whirlwind trip. New York City is the last leg of their journey and I was so excited to meet up with them, catch up and take a few photos. We started off in Bryant Park, and then walked around midtown a bit, ending up at Grand Central Terminal. BTW, Neha is also glowing, as she is due with a little baby girl in a few months! I am so happy to be able to post these photos and just so happy to have spent some time with them…now I just have to make a trip to South Africa someday to pay my visit to them and their little girl.
Happy Fourth of July!
