I met Karuna of KC Makeup a few years ago at a wedding professionals mixer, and immediately I could tell this woman was stylish,  confident, and knew what she was doing. Fast forward a few years and I have had the privilege to work with her on a few weddings and other shoots, all of which were just stand out successes, and a large part of that due to her contribution and skills. She makes every single client feel like a million dollars and can work magic with makeup – she is maybe the best makeup artist I’ve worked with and I love collaborating with her.

Karuna recently moved into a new studio space in NYC and asked if I could take a few images and new headshots for her both indoors and outdoors to capture her refreshed brand and look and I was only too happy to do so. The studio space is a glamorous, modern yet serene hideaway in the fashionable flatiron district, and is really the perfect place for her and her business. We shot these over a few days both inside the studio and outside on a cloudy day then once on the Highline nearing sunset. I absolutely love working with her, and highly highly recommend contacting Karuna for any and all of your needs from portraits to weddings to makeup lessons to learn how to glam yourself up (something I’m planning on doing!).
