Cookies in the Village

  /   My Life

It was one of those days in early April when you know that spring is here, but its still a bit crisp out. I found myself wanting to wander around the west village and explore new territory and take some neat pics. It was one of those days where I was really happy just being alone and wandering around the city. I found a beautiful tree lined street where all the trees were just budding with blossoms, and it was just so pretty. I also bought some new lenses recently so this was a great time to test them out. I find that if I could get away with it, I love using prime lenses for street shooting. Nothing beats the sharpness and that depth of field…its just hard to make the shot fit the fixed focal length the way you want it to….but I’ve gotten used to it.

Awesome cookie display!

I think it may be spring – so pretty!

Just really like the tone/texture of this:

Love the texture in the surroundings here...

Love the colors in this pic:

This was really neat – a display on a chain link fence called ‘Tiles for America’ which had ceramic tiles painted by lots of little kids – in rememberence of 9/11 and supporting the troops, etc. I didn’t intend for this to be out of focus, but I really like the effect.

Nothing special about this lock, I just liked the picture…
