The Highline

A few from a recent trip to The Highline – its an old freight train track that they have turned into a park…right over the west side avenues in Manhattan. It’s got a ton of interesting plants, views, and textures. I loved it…and played around with my wide angle. Hope you enjoy!

Marina + Greg | Engagement

I went up to the beautiful Westchester county last week for the engagement session of the equally beautiful Marina and Greg. They are so comfortable together, so in love, and just utterly gorgeous, the both of them. It was the first time I met them and I really felt right at home with them and their family. Most of these photos were taken in and around Greg’s parents’ breathtaking home and grounds, and then we ventured around the area a bit. It was a foggy and cloudy day, but the greenery just was so lush and the foggy roads worked for us (you’ll see down below). I really enjoyed getting to know them a bit and can’t wait for their classic nyc wedding this fall. Enjoy the photos…

The Cape

I’ve never been much of a beach-goer, but lately I’ve become somewhat of a convert…and not necessarily because I love diving into the ocean (I prefer to wade in but only so my calfs get wet). Being near water and hearing the ocean waves is definitely relaxing, something I’m seeking more and more in life as I get older. Time seems to toss me around from place to place from one project to another and its hard to try to stand still and take a deep breath, but that is precisly what I did the last few days, and it was wonderful. The salty air, the sand in my feet, and hearing the ocean waves. I even snuck in a mini yoga season on the beach and it was glorious. I feel recharged and though I would have loved it to be longer, it was fabulous while it lasted. Its kind of funny actually, hailing from the midwest, I never really knew what Cape Cod was, where it was or why people went there every summer. I felt like somewhat of a cliche heading up there 3 years ago for the first time, but that feeling soon faded as I realized how relaxing and peaceful it was. Now my third trip there, I feel like somewhat of a veteran, and maybe more of a seasoned east-coaster…enough to refer to it as ‘The Cape’. So here are a few snaps…from this year’s trip to The Cape. I hope everyone has a chance to relax this summer!

Vaca.

My head has been spinning, time has been ticking away too fast and I have yet to see the new Harry Potter movie that I have been dying to see (yes, I’m a pretty hard core fan!)…I’m yearning to take a deep breath, gain my footing, sleep and relax. And I will. This week.

I’m heading to the beach for a few days…and right after I return I’m psyched to be able to post a few things and shoot an amazing wedding next weekend. Have a great weekend everyone!

Here are a few photos from cape cod in my past trips…
