Sanjay contacted me a few months ago, with an exciting plan in his mind – he wanted me to photograph his proposal to Mimi, at one of the most gorgeous locations in New York City. Sanjay rented out 620 Loft at Rockefeller Center, and decided to propose on the rooftop garden. The views from here were of Saks Fifth Avenue, Rockefeller Center, 30 Rock and St. Patricks Cathedral – talk about views! I was so incredibly excited when I first talked to him I could hardly contain my excitement. Since then Sanjay and I emailed back and forth planning all the details of how he was going to get her to this particular place, what he would say, where I would be hiding…and all the details leading up to the big moment when he would ask Mimi to be his wife. As the day neared I started to fear that it was going to rain, or that it would be too cold, or that I would get so caught up in the moment I would forget to click the shutter on my camera
…but it turned out beautifully. Special thanks to Matt Richman for helping me out on this one, his images are priceless!
When the moment came, it was just beautiful. The location was stunning and the background was just so picturesque. Of course Mimi said YES (!!) and we spent the rest of the morning taking a few photos of the newly engaged couple. I am so happy that I got to be a part of this, thanks guys…and I’m really looking forward to the formal engagement ceremony!
My view…

The next three are Matt’s view…

I think she said YES

Matt’s view – look at the look on Sanjay’s face – priceless.

A favorite of mine:

Mimi’s mom designed her ring. Its so beautiful…and infinitely more meaningful.

That amazing view again…

I love this photo – Matt is awesome!

They are so gorgeous together!
