Susie + Chris | Portraits

I recently met up with Susie and Chris to take a couple of portraits for them around NYC. I knew Susie and Chris from high school so it was really nice seeing them after so long, catching up on old times and our days in the midwest. They started dating in high school and I was very happy to hear and see that they are still very much together, and they can make each other laugh as if they started dating yesterday. It was a gorgeous fall day and the light was crispy and beautiful. A few (or a lot) of my favorite images follow…

The Tux

A few weekends ago, one of my good friends Rizwan visited NYC from out of country, and we had a blast just hanging out, catching up, as well as scouring Manhattan looking for the perfect Tux for his upcoming wedding in December. It was a honor for me to be a part of the process to choose his tux as he is a such a good friend of mine and there is a chance I may not be able to attend his wedding. It was a throwback to the days we all used to spend together in college – we spent part of the day talking about memories and nostalgia, but it was also a day filled with talking about where our lives have taken us now, as well as the anticipation of looking forward in life…looking forward to his wedding, and all the excitement (and a bit of stress) that comes with planning your own wedding…and looking forward to what life has in store for you just around the next corner.

Too slim, too boxy, too stripey, too blue, too casual…too…’not a tux’….too…something’s not right! I was definitely suited-out by day’s end, but when he found ‘The One’, as they say for a woman’s wedding dress – it was like, he just ‘knew’. Rizwan felt like a million bucks (or 007?) in the Tux he tried on towards the very end of the day. You could see him smiling from ear to ear and trying on all the zoolander looks you could imagine to make the whole look come together. We faced a lot of logistics issues that day in finding/buying this Tux but in the end it all worked out, and we can be confident that he will look like a million bucks x 007 on his wedding day. I’m happy to know that I’ve at least seen him look so excited, I just hope I can see him and his bride together on their day.

Now…on to a few pics we took while out and about that day. Unfortunately I don’t have a pic of the Tux but I hope to be able to get a pic of him wearing it, along with the joy on his face on his wedding day.

Yours Truly…

Jenn + Kevin | Wedding

This wedding I got to shoot at with Autumn was awesome – so much fun and colorful and happiness! Just take a look at Jenn and Kevin in the pics below – they could not keep from smiling the entire day and my camera could not stop clicking :) Jenn was radiant and her face and smile just said it all – how ready she was to marry Kevin and start their life together. They were a fun-loving couple and that showed through in every aspect of the wedding, making it all the more enjoyable to document for them. I really had a blast and I hope you like the (many) pictures that follow…

A few details on the dress.

Her hair was done with such elegance.

Kevin is all smiles.

How cute are these flower girls..? They loved having their picture taken!

Glowing…

We headed out to Westchester Hills Country Club for a few portraits/formals…

Peanut Butter and Chocolate cake = yummy!

Jenn’s dad gave quite the speech…
