Payel is like the cutest baby sister I never had, one of my closest friends for a little over a decade. Sanjoy is the handsome guy who swept Payel her off her feet, and I love them together. Payel is in medical school here at NYU and Sanjoy lives in Chicago, so they don’t get to see each other much…but when they do, just look at the love in their eyes. We picked a gorgeous afternoon to stroll around Soho, laugh, share a nice meal, have a good time, and convince tourists they were famous people and I was taking their photos. The other weekend I had dinner with friends at Harvest on Hudson. The sunset was awesome, and the flowers so vivid…here are a few candid shots. If anyone has the chance, go there for dinner in the summer, the restaurant is on the banks of the Hudson about 30 minutes north of Manhattan. The food is pretty good, the view is really pretty and it makes for a nice relaxing summer evening.
I had a great weekend. Today, the 11th is my birthday, and I spent the weekend hanging out with dear friends in New York City, the city I’ve always wanted to be in and celebrate life. A few surprises here and there, wonderful food, great company and way too many sweets marked this year’s celebration. Thanks to all for the wishes and here’s to another year of life and hopefully good things to come.
