Pushpa and Ben. They are so sweet together, so laid back, and just…at ease. I traveled to Baltimore, Maryland to be a part of their celebrations. The melding of two families and two cultures…was such a beautiful thing. It is quite amazing how so many things come together for a wedding, it is touching to see the love everyone has for these two.
Day 1 of their celebrations began with the Nichayathartham ceremony or puja. It is an “engagement” ceremony of sorts, where the details of the marriage ceremony are read out loud and agreed upon. Enjoy the images…much much more to come!

I had the distinct pleasure and joy to photograph a wonderful wedding this weekend, a celebration of two cultures, two traditions, two families coming together in a new way. It touched me in several different ways, maybe I’ll talk about that another time. For now – the bride’s beautiful mehndi.
